Alexandra Pellissier, known at DPM as Teacher Alex, has been a bilingual educator since 2016. She began her teaching career in the Kent School District, working in the dual-language program with first- and second-grade English language learners, supporting them in reading and mathematics.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a focus on Elementary Education from Western Governors University. Before entering the field of education, Alex built a diverse professional background as a medical interpreter, property manager, and licensed real estate broker—roles that deepened her appreciation for language, communication, and service.
Born in Switzerland to a Peruvian family, Alex has always been passionate about language and culture. That passion has guided her toward opportunities where she could connect people across backgrounds and foster understanding. Her love for Montessori began when her eldest son enrolled at Dancing Pines (formerly Well Trained Mind Montessori). Witnessing the profound impact of Montessori education on her child inspired her to pursue a teaching career rooted in the philosophy.
Outside the classroom, you can find Alex chauffeuring her two sons around sports, activities, and friends’ houses, loving on and taking care of her infant daughter, and spending time with her partner either wrangling kids together or, paddle boarding, kayaking, golfing, swimming, binging a good series, reading a book, mastering her Cricut, gardening, or cleaning house (never ending, am I right!?)
