She worked for several years running outdoor trips for at-risk youth and people with disabilities. She then joined Utah State University Extension to design a program for at-risk youth and their families.
After moving to Washington with her family Heather worked for Tahoma School District doing prevention services for students. She discovered Montessori when her oldest daughter was 3 years old and became one of Teacher Kelly’s first students!
She received her MACTE Montessori Teaching Certificate in 2013 and has been teaching in the classroom for 8 years. Her oldest daughter is now 17, her son 13 (who also attended school with Kelly) and youngest daughter age 4.
Heather enjoys reading, photography, cooking, hiking, skiing, river rafting and time with family and friends. Inspired by Kelly to take her training all those years ago she’s excited join DPM as a teacher this fall!
